Disable Internet Explorer 7’s Tab Feature

START:

• Open Internet Explorer 7.

• If you don’t already have the menu bar showing right click next to the tab and then select ‘Menu Bar’ from the options menu.

• Now click on ‘Tools’ (on the menu bar) and then ‘Internet Options’.

• A new window will display, on the default display (the general tab) look down under the heading ‘Tabs’ and click ‘Settings’.

• Now uncheck the top tick box (Enable Tabbed Browsing), which is checked by default and then click ‘OK’.

• Now click ‘OK’ in the window below (internet options).

• You must now restart internet explorer in order for this change to effect.

Information

You can enable tabs again at any time by following the same steps above but instead checking the check box.
